Our Mission Statement!
To honor and pay homage to the true legends of the country music industry always close to its roots. "Without the past, there is no future: A true legend is someone who has influenced the evolution of country music"
To become the authoritative shrine of the heritage of country music. A place for aspiring artists and songwriters to hear and see the true legends of country music and be inspired to achieve their own greatness.
The Colorado Country Music Assoc. was formed January of 1999 and Charted as a non-profit and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(C)3 non-profit "To promote the developemnt of the Country/Gospel music Industry in the state of Colorado"
The CCMA's Motto "Keepng Country, Country" best describes the foundation on which is fast growing country music association is built and help to explain the interest and growth it is experiencing
We are an organization made up of people who want to "Keep Country, Country" . Members include promoters, entertainers, friends of Country Music and the general public throughout Colorado.We host benefits and fund-raising events for various charitable organizations
throughout Colorado and nationwide.
Misty Dawn founded the Colorado Country Music Association in 1999 and joined the National Organization out of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She started the State-Wide talent competition to help state-wide talent get an opportunity to perform for local venues and sometimes out of state venues. Her competition begins with 3 years old to 90 years old. We have performers compete from all over the state, as well as out of state performers who pay to be a member of CCMA. SHe been in the music business most of my life so I have a great love for music and for people.
Misty enjoys promoting new talent and talent that has been with CCMA for 17 years. "Our competition is more like having a family reunion because all members have formed a strong bond with each other. I'm known as Sister, Mom, and Grandma to the performers."
